The Empty Vessels BandBackgroundAt the end of the last century, I formed a folk/rock band called Empty Vessels. Featuring my long term mate Jim Jeram, we enlisted the help of a number of other musos and, with dreams of being the next Fairport Convention, went about our business with drums, guitars, fiddles and our voices. I wrote some songs, an album was produced (I still have a few left) and off we went except I soon discovered it was not going to be an easy path. Many phone calls with venues, agents etc sounded more like Bob Newheart comedy phone calls "you play what style?.....Folk Rock and you write your own stuff?!?.......". The challenge was too mighty, we morphed into a general covers band called Nostalgia for a while then gave up. Empty Vessels 2011Sadly Empty Vessels has not reformed but is the name I use for a variety of musical undertakings. I have a number of musical partners and rather than always try and explain who or what I doing things with, I will use the name. For example I work with the mighty Richard Moore who plays fiddle, guitar and bass to blinding effect; Matthew Sear a guitar player par excellent; Jim Jeram is also still on the scene singing his little heart out; Frank Goodhind is also on call with his array of keyboards. Also in the wings are bass and drum players ready to join in as and when required. All are excellent musicians in their own right doing other things, we just come together when needed. So Empty Vessels is a flexible beast, waiting to gig, please give me a shout. Click here to contact for more info. Samples of Empty Vessels with Richard Moore
